Deleting the image from the post and from the associated post on Facebook
-
Hello!
I just posted an article with an image, and then decided to delete the image. So there is no more image in console, but still there is a rectangle in place where the image used to be – see top of http://employerbrandexperts.com.
Another question is that the image is still shown in a post on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/EmployerBrandExperts/posts/789714337718644. How do I remove this image from the Facebook post?
Thank you in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That looks like a Featured Image. Have you deleted the featured image associated with this post as well?
You won’t be able to remove the image from the Facebook post as it has already been posted. I suggest you delete the Facebook post from within Facebook. Then edit your blog post and check the “Post to Facebook” option while republishing.

Yep, went to media files and deleted the image itself. Didn’t work out.
Thanks for the clarification on FB post.

Please check if you have set the Featured Image on that blog post and delete it as well.

Yep, did that – still not working. The image is not getting deleted – still on the page. If I delete it from media library than the imge disappears and a plain grey rectangle takes its place.

After checking the Oxygen theme showcase page and the other blogs listed on the showcase page, it seems it is not possible to get rid of the image associated with each post. This seems to be the default aspect of teh theme design. If the post image is bothering you too much, then I think you should consider other themes.
