Deleting the thumb off selected pages….how?

    I have set up 2 pages on my very new website. Only on these two pages I want to delete the bit at the bottom that asks if readers like the blog and send comments.
    Note: when I write on the home page, which I assume is the blog part of my website, I want to keep the “SEND A REPLY” but do not want the “like” thumb. (This blog part will include updated narrative and recipes.)

    Is there a way of doing this?
    I am not even sure which heading to look at under GET STARTED.

    Ha! Judith, you’re so funny.

    It looks as if you were able to remove the Like thumb from your Welcome page. Nicely done!

    In order to remove the Comments, you can open Pages → All Pages → Welcome. Scroll to the Discussion module, and uncheck “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.” Then, make certain to save your changes by clicking update.

    If your Discussion module is hidden on your page, you can display it by clicking on the Screen Options tab in the top, right hand corner of your Welcome page editor. Then click Discussion. That will make the module visible to you so you can hide comments.
