Deleting Uploads

  Is there a faster way to delete uploads…rather than than the tedious ONE AT A TIME?

  I post quite a few audio clips, interviews & news stories on a daily basis…If I delete a blog entry, the page disappears, but if there were any uploaded content, such as audio files & pictures…they stay in the upload file.

  There has got to be a simpler and better way…

  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  I have a couple:
  1) If you delete an uploaded post (blog entry) everything within that story gets deleted…mp3’s etc.

  OR

  2) Create a “delete upload page” that looks similar and responds to that of the “delete post page”, so that you can “rifle” thru the deleted uploads as quickly as the deleted posts…It would be nice to delete more than one uploaded audio or picture file at a time.

  3) On the upload choices, you have a section titled, “videos” & “slideshows” how about a seperate category for “audio” and “pictures” too. That would help a whole lot…

  The a comfortable solution via the Admin panel is included in WordPress 2.5. I assume that will be available for us as soon as WP.com receives the next major update in the next few weeks.

  Until then you’ stuck. Unfotunately.

  I think the ”dashboard”/”manage”/”uploads” is simple enough, but yes I suppose clicking on each upload to delete it, can get a bit cumbersome, if you’ve loads and loads of files.
