Deleting user bio

can’t remove user bio from article summary. This is so frustrating. I added a gravatar image to my primary sidebar and now User Bio text appears under every recent post article INSTEAD of the summary. I have scoured the internet and have found no help. I removed the Gravatar widget. And I can’t even disconnect my blog from the gravatar profile. And Gravatar won’t let you delete your account.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some themes display an author profile below each posts automatically. To edit or eliminate the display you go to > Dashboard > Users > My Profile and change or remove the text from the “About Me” section. Whatever you do there will be reflected on Gravatar profile page as well.

Thanks so much for your response. I followed up on your input. Checked the profile settings. I can’t seem to delete the display name. And when I save the info, either on gravatar or wordpress, the display name always pops back. And the bio script is still there. I’ve checked oxygen theme for other users and they have their proper article summaries. Any other ideas?
