Hello,
I would like to permanently delete the website gabadev.com could you please assist with this? I attempted to follow the instructions however once I got to deleting the site I was prompted to contact support for assistance.

Canceling domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. It looks like you’ve already cancelled your domain.
If you want to delete the site completely, we’ll first need to revert it to how it was before you installed plugins on it. This will remove any info on the site added after you installed plugins, and you won’t be able to install plugins on the same site again in future, so I need you to confirm before I do this.

Okay :) Well, you need to first make sure you put your site to the state before you installed plugins — like the Premium or Business Plan.
This support doc can assist as well. Also, keep in mind that Deleting a site is permanent and cannot be reverted back.

When I go to the Settings page I now receive an ‘there was an error retrieving purchases’. There is now no option to delete the site, only to import and export.

I have deleted the site and you’ll now be able to revert it at My Site ->Settings.

It is not possible for users to do this themselves, and I already offered to help with that in my reply.
I think there may be a chargeback on your account.
Please don’t make guesses about something like this. There is no possible way you can know if there’s a chargeback on an account or not, only staff can see that.
Once a staff member has replied to the thread we see all further replies on the thread. While I appreciate that you’re trying to help, please stop replying to a thread once a staff member is helping on it. Also please don’t add the modlook tag to a thread a second time if a staff member has already replied, as that does not make us reply any faster.
