Deleting WordPress

  I need to delete my WordPress, but I have a custom theme attached to it. I also want to use my domain for another website.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Barron,

  I’ve looked at your website and I see the theme but I’m not sure why you’d be concerned about the theme if you want to delete your website/WordPress.com account.

  You can only use barronwei.wordpress.com for a site hosted at WordPress.com, you cannot transfer that to another registrar. Unless you’re talking about another domain you have purchased (like example.com).

  Can you explain a little more clearly what you need help with?

  When I attempt to delete my site, I am told to remove all premium upgrades. My theme is my only remaining premium upgrade, and I am unable to delete my site because of it. I would like to use the domain that I mapped to my WordPress for another purpose.

  I understand now, thanks for elaborating.

  Deleting a premium theme to delete a site entails either transferring it to another WordPress.com site (which you don’t want to do) or having a Staff member remove it for you in advance of deletion.

  I’ve tagged this post with ‘modlook’ to bring it to the attention of the forum Staff. They are currently at the Automattic Global Meetup but someone will see this and attend to your request.

  No problem, I’ve removed the premium theme from barronwei.wordpress.com which should mean the site can be deleted:
