deleting wordpress account

    I am not able to delete my wordpress account. I do not see any connected app or purchases left on the account but still says I do.

    I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    Hey there! You are using this account for Jetpack on a site that is not hosted here. Jetpack has quite a few built in features that you may have thought were part of WordPress itself. I’d recommend against removing it.

    Can you let us know what you’re hoping to do by closing the account, though? You could remove your Gravatar rose icon. Or you could turn off all marketing emails, or stop getting notified of new content on sites you follow. Let us know and we’ll help.

    Thank you for replying. The problem is I was using WordPress for a blog and added jetpack and other apps. I wanted to completely cancel the blog and all attached apps, WordPress and subscriptions. I tried to delete my account in the settings and it said there were still some apps attached that needed to be removed first. I carefully removed all apps and canceled all subscriptions. When I went back to delete my account it still wont let me delete saying there are still outstanding apps attached. I have gone through PayPal and stopped all subscription and gone into my profile and canceled all add-
    ons and apps and subscriptions. Still no delete. It did delete the actual blog but I still get spam emails with comments on the blog. Thanks for any help.

    I checked your account, and I don’t see anything that prevents you from closing it. Please try again and let me know if it works or not.

    Thanks for checking. When I go to account settings ad then delete account, after the process and it starts deleting it says This user account cannot be closed while it has active subscriptions. <sigh> A question though, I stopped my jetpack subscription bit it still had a few months left that were paid.. Could that be the problem? However jetpack does not show on my app or payments section.
