Deleting WordPress Account After Setting Up on Server?

I recently setup lifemisled.wordpress.com to get my blogger ported over to wordpress for a move to host on a domain I recently purchased. Now that I have all of that figured out, I basically have two wordpress blogs– one with the .wordpress extension and my new registered http://www.lifemisled.com

I was wondering, can I delete my .wordpress blog because my updates and work on lifemisled.com are not taking effect on the .wordpress. Essentially, it’s a dead blog from this point forward. My concern is that if I delete the blog, it will delete blogger content or delete the content I’ve been working on. I’m new to wordpress and even owning a domain, so I apologize if this question seems a bit “thick” to any of you.

Nonetheless, I would appreciate a very specific answer on this matter because if I’m wrong, I potentially lose everything I have. I’ve already deleted my blogger, so there’s no going back.

    Thanks for your help.

You can delete the blog, but once you do you cannot ever get that URL back, no matter what. You cannot delete the account. Deleting your WordPress.com blog will not affect a blog hosted elsewhere at all; these are two different kinds of WordPress. But you’d better be sure you’ve gotten everything off that blog that you want.

Thanks for your the concise response and help. I was able to delete the blog without issue, and, as you stated, the deletion did not affect my domain’s WordPress. Entertaining blog you have as well.
