Deleting WordPress.org site from WordPress.com dashboard
-
I’m doing some house cleaning and deleting sites that I no longer need. How do I remove the site from my wordpress.com dashboard? Once deleted from the dashboard will that remove it from Jetpack as well or do I need to remove it there as well. I see a lot of questions similar to this on the forum and the first few I checked the topic was closed but there was no answers so I saw no reason to waste time posting another one there.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to a site or sites that are not hosted by wordpress.COM?
If the answer is yes, this is wordpress.COM support and Staff help for removal form your wordpress.com account has not been required for about a year.
We cannot help you aside from pointing you to this support doc > Disconnect Jetpack Sites https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

re: deleting sites
To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site. The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
https://wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com
*Replace “NAME_OF_BLOG” with the actual name of the blog in the URL above.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If the log-in information is lost you need to visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Be aware that deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made except for the one stated here http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
Other options
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the site, to change blog visibility to Private go to > Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settingsTo empty site content and keep the URL see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
You can simply switch themes. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes
To transfer the site to another username account provided that username account has first been added as an official user of the blog https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#adding-users-to-your-site with Admin status. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

My sites are all self hosted sites. I know wordpress.com and wordpress.org are totally separate however I use wordpress.com to manage plugins and updates so my non wordpress.com sites are listed under my sites on wordpress.com. The actual removal of content of the site is not an issue and is complete. The site is still listed in my wordpress.com account under my sites and this is what I would like to remove.
I’d be content to delete or withdraw my question and leave a site that no longer exists listed under my sites on wordpress.com.
