Deleting wp.com to use wp.org

    Hello, I recently activated a web page on wp.com but then I decided to use wp.org. So I bought an hosting space with site ground and downloaded wp.org. I would like to delete wp.com in order to conserve only wp.org. But if i type the ip address http://www.makeasplash.it (the domain that i had previously registered and associated with wp.org) it still appears only the wp.com that i do not anymore to exist. Can you help me as I do not want to delete accidentally wp.com and the hosting I bought with site ground.
    I confirm you that i am not interested anymore in any contents of wp.com.

    Hi, there’s no domain mapping record for makeasplash.it at WordPress.com. I looked into the details and it appears that domain is redirecting to your WordPress.com site through a 301 redirect. Usually this happens if you set up something like domain forwarding with your domain registrar.

    Do you remember where you registered the domain name? What you will want to do is log in there, remove the domain forwarding, and then update the name servers for the domain to point to Siteground. The domain provider should be able to help sort this out.
