Deleting/Deactivating my account–Need some clarification

  Hello, I would like to deactivate or delete my wordpress blog at this time and am not clear on how to do so.

  Thank you for your response…I may be back again, but not now…otherwise, does my account just go “inactive” if I do not post anymore and or do I just delete my one post and then things just kind of “disappear” into cyber space? Thanks! Happy New Year!

  Set your blog to private. Save the password and email somewhere so you will be able to access it when you want to blog again on that account.

  Choose the option “I would like my blog to be private…”

  Pretty much – inactive blogs don’t show up well on search engines (they like new content)

  There is no requirement for you to use a blog here at WordPress.COM – you blog will just wait for you to return
