Deleting/Unassociating Domains
-
I have two domains that are associated with my domain (knowltondentistry.com) and they both have expired and I do not want to renew the, but the blog expiration message will not disappear, so I can see my blog, can you help me remove it?
The blogs that I need removed are findasmile.net and findyoursmile.net.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your blog can be accessed at healthymouth.wordpress.com. You click the dismiss link and the overlay will disappear. I tagged this thread for Staff to remove the mapped domains. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Note there is a backlog so you will have to wait patiently for Staff help. To subscribe:
1. Look in the sidebar of this thread and find the subscribe to topics link.
2. Or look below the comment box for this: _ Notify me of followup posts via e-mail -
Thanks for the response. I did access the blog at healthymouth.wordpress.com. and dismissed the overlays, but when someone try’s to access knowltondentistry.com they get the error page with the two sites listed.

I’m happy to remove these expired domains. However, in order to do that I’ll need the WordPress.com account that owns the domains to contact us (not dckdds).

I am the person that owns this site (Ineal & Donna Knowlton; Knowlton Dentistry). Please read the below email traffic:

Subject: website administrative access
To: (email visible only to moderators and staff)I have established access to the website for you to modify as you see fit, moving forward. I’ve covered a number of things with Ineal, but I thought it might be helpful to review here:
– the user access I’ve established is as follows: [removed by staff] (case sensitive); email (email visible only to moderators and staff)
(You can change the user name, pw and email). That user should give you “administrative access”, to change anything on the site.
– there are a number of domains mapped to the site. They can be cancelled at any point, or simply not renewed. Check the domain page under the dashboard for their status.
– If you establish a new domain, I’d suggest you do it through WordPress (vs. something like GoDaddy). The costs are similar, and it’s easier to map to the site, in my opinion.
– it might be helpfull to continue the other domain for the site (schmidtkedds.com), for the 12 months specified in our agreement, to preserve the search engine status until your new domain can be recognized…just my suggestion.I hope you find this information helpful, to continue using the website I have established for the practice. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for that info. However, these expired domains are still in their grace period and can be renewed without any additional fees. Since this is true, I can’t remove them from the account of the user that purchased them without their request.
And your account is not the one that owns these upgrades. I’ll need the owner of these upgrades to communicate with us that they would like these domains removed.
As an aside, please don’t ever share your, or anyone else’s, login information in a public forum. It leaves your accounts open to be easily hacked.

Thanks for the information, but I had changed all the info that was provided. Could you please tell me how can I get my blog to show, and not have the error. People are accessing knowltondentistry.com and getting an error, this doesn’t look good for the business. When we purchased this dental practice we purchased the rights to all domains.
Thanks in advance for any assistance. -
It looks like the user account that owns the domains also owns the WordPress.com site that you use healthymouth.wordpress.com. Do you have a second account that was used to create this site?
-
I do have another account iknowlton.wordpress.com But the site was created under the old account.

These domains are owned by another user on your site. Here are all of the users on your site:
https://healthymouth.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php
If that other user is you, please log out of this account, and log into that account in order to request that we remove these domains.
