Deletion of my account

    I want to delete my account. Will I lose this email address as well as the domain forever? I mean, if I want to make an account here with the same domain sometime in future, will I be able to do it if it’s not occupied by anyone or will I lose it forever by deleting my account? Also, will I be able to make another account by using the same mail address sometime in future or not?

    Hi there,

    There is no way to delete a WordPress account once created. The option provided is leaving your account inactive by following this:

    For deleting account, the first step you follow is deletion of your site. Once you delete your site, there is no certainty on having your domain name back.

    You can transfer the blog to another account which will be active.

    If it’s custom domain name then you need to keeping paying for it to own it.

    Also, will I be able to make another account by using the same mail address sometime in future or not?

    Change email address under Account Settings. This will help in creating another WordPress account in future with same email id as every WordPress account is linked to unique email id.
