Delinking an email address from a deleted wordpress blog

  Dear WordPress Admin,
  Currently am maintaining free wordpress.com blog at http://shirdisaifullawareness.wordpress.com registered under my zoho email address at (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  I wish to change registered email to (email visible only to moderators and staff). But am unable to do so as it says (email visible only to moderators and staff) is linked to another wordpress blog (which i presume is a blog i briefly had a year and half back for my then-employer but deleted it as it was not suitable to them). Can you delink my email from that old deleted blog so that i can link this email to my current blog.

  Hi chennaibharathkumarkrishnamurthy,

  That email address will need to be removed from the existing account before it can be used on another. Please try logging in to WordPress.com using (email visible only to moderators and staff) and change the email address on that account with these steps:

  Change Your Email Address

  Once the email address has been removed from the existing account, it can be added to the one you are currently logged in to.
