  Moving the DePo Masthead theme and content to a new host. I’ve uploaded the theme files (from another server), but some functionality isn’t available. (Theme options seems to be missing. Here is the new location, http://suffolkcountylibertyreport.com.previewdns.com

  Also, not all of the current blog’s content migrated to the new location through Export/Import. Shouldn’t all posts come over? (There’s only one user)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  wordpress.COM themes cannot be exported out of wordpress.COM blogs and imported into wordpress.ORG installs

  It’s important to know that wordpress.com is a WP-MU blogging platform. The themes here were all originally coded to run on free standing wordpress.org software installs. In order to run on wordpress.com software they were “adapted” and some features were eliminated and/or added. The themes we use here are all derived from shared templates. They cannot be exported out of wordpress.COM and imported into wordpres.ORG installs.

  The version of the theme you uploaded is the one you will have to work with. You can edit the template of that version. We cannot edit the shared templates we use at worpress.COM

  blog content does not “migrate”
  All content must be exported out of the wordpress.COM blog and imported into the wordpress.ORG install

  All content in text widgets must be copied and pasted from the wordpress.COM blog text widgets to the wordpress.ORG text widgets

  Note that we have some special widgets made for wordpress.COM that will not be in the widgets you get from wordpress.ORG.

  If your reference to “migration” really is a reference to domain mapping (redirect) then it can take up to 72 hours for all the changes to occur throughout the internet.
