DePo Masthead “More” Tag Issue

On the front page of my blog, the “middle column” post is cutting off exactly where is it supposed to based on where I placed the “more” tag. However, the “read more and comment” directive is no longer there. “Read more and comment” was previously visible for the same post when it was located in the “left column” of the front page.
This was a problem for a few other bloggers recently, but the support forum thread mentions that the problem was fixed. Am I doing something wrong?:
