  Depot Masthead has the magazine look I’m after but allows for the showing of only three articles. Is it possible using CSS to add another row thus making room for six articles on the front page?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Assuming your blog is hosted here at wordpress.COM (you did not give us a link so I can’t be sure), no it is not. That would require modification of the underlying theme files and we cannot do that here at wordpress.COM.
