  How do I add the meta tags for my free wordpress blog?

  You can’t. wordpress.com is a multi-user blogging platform and we cannot access those files or edit them. If we could then whatever we changed would affect all blogs with the same theme. http://support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/
