Description tag missing?

  It’s been a while since I’ve used WordPress and I remember in “Posts”, their use to be a “Description” box to fill out that would create a descriptions meta tag in the mock up on the page. I see an “Excerpt” section but I doubt this is the same. Am I missing something simple here?

  Sorry, you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

  These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.

  If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.

  As an aside, what you will have to do is install an SEO plugin such as All in One SEO.
