Design options for blog with Edin theme

    Hi there,

    I have have two questions related to the Theme Edin when it comes to setting up the blog in addition to static pages:

    There is always a picture that you can set for a single page. However, if I create the category BLOG, then I don’t actually know how to set an image for that page ../blog that will serve as an entry for the blog.

    I don’t mind if I cannot, but in that case I need to know how to eliminate the space that exists for that image that would otherwise stay white.

    Plus: can I choose an alternative design for all blog pages? For instance: on my static pages I have the menu of all the pages on the right hand side. I don’t need that for blog entries and would much rather have something different there. Some other widget, say. How would I go on about that?

    Hi Angel, could you provide a link to your site running Edin so I can take a look?

    The blog page doesn’t display a featured image but there might be a way to add one with custom CSS. I can provide more information if you’re interested once you show me your site.

    You can use the widget visibility feature to choose where to display widgets.

    Heya Angel – that’s a self-hosted site running on your own hosting, but these forums are for folks hosted here at WordPress.com.

    The options available for customizing self-hosted sites are different than the ones available here.
