  Hello. I am an artist looking to create a VERY simple portfolio through wordpress, like this one:

  ILLUSTRATION

  How can I do that. All the themes offered have so many words and clunky blocks of text in the way. Furthermore, I cannot seem to edit or delete these blocks of text. My site is jeffrokilpatrick.wordpress.com

  Hi there – great question! That site you shared is using the theme Sketch, which is here: https://wordpress.com/theme/sketch

  It’s a great portfolio theme. The instructions for setting it up can also be found on that page.
