desired domain name in use
-
I went to create a new blog today and the url (http://beingthechange.wordpress.com/) is already taken by someone who obviously never did anything with the blog after registering the name in 2008. Is there any way I can get the user (or WordPress) to delete the blog so that I can use the name? Thanks for your help.

The answer is “no”. I’m sorry but there is no requirement that a blogger must blog in a blog they have created.

And staff does not give away (seemingly) abandoned blogs. Only the blog owner can do that.
Leave a comment on the blog you want and see if the blog owner would be willing to transfer it to you. That is the only way.
