Desk App for OSX: NSXMLSParserErrorDomain error 111.

I’ve recently purchased Desk from the Apple App Store for OSX based upon excellent reviews and WordPress being one of the sites that it integrates well with, even within the comments section. It appears that people are able to connect with their own self-hosted, or privately hosted WordPress.org installations, but the ability to connect WordPress.com blogs no longer works. When attempting to add the blog via the app there are 4 fields that one can fill out:

    Blog URL
    API URL (Link to xmlrcp.php)
    Username
    Password

The error that I receive is “Error adding blog, double-check your credentials. The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSXMLParserErrorDomain error 111.)”
I contacted the developer and he said that he has requested that WordPress.com whitelist his app, but as of yet, this hasn’t happened. So, I’m adding to what I assume is a list of people having the same issue to see if we can get the app whitelisted, or asking for special treatment in getting my account to allow this app to connect. ;)

    The app in question: Desk

    Thank you!

Solved in another thread. In the blog URL field you must use https.
