Desktop App Error
-
has anyone come across this error before?
“You have one or more plugins that prevent editing content within WordPress Desktop. Continue in an external browser?”
is this WordPress plugin or External browser plugin? Default? or Chrome?
My account is the personal plan, so I can’t install WordPress plugins.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you have the Classic Editor plugin active, you’ll need to deactivate it to use the app.
-
-
this is frustrating, I can’t find “Classic Editor” in any setting or any post editor, no damn clue.
-
Thanks for confirming. Can you verify what version of the Desktop app you’re using and what operating system (and version) you’re on? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thanks!

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19042.1055]
WordPress Desktop: 6.15.0 ( I even uninstalled and reinstalled)
-
Interestingly, I have two profiles on my laptop. Installed app for all users and one profile works the other one doesn’t.

Please try deactivating all plugins on your site from the Plugins section of the Dashboard.
If the app works without error after that, re-activate each plugin individually until you identify the one causing the error.
-
When I go to plugin page, I see no plugins but jetpack installed. I will try again and see if I am missing something.

so, I uninstalled and manually deleted ALL %AppData% folders labeled “WordPress”. Reinstalled for specific user/profile (not All Users) and it seems to be working. Thanks for the help.
