  why does the desktop app say ‘failed to fetch’ every time I try to sign in?

  Hi there!

  Can you let us know what operating system (and version) you’re using and what version of the WordPress app you’ve installed?

  Also, are you trying to log into the same WordPress.com account you’re using here? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

  I am using windows 10 (20H2 version)
  the WordPress version is 6.15.0

  yes, this is the same account. I am currently communicating with you using my browser.

  That should be fine. Would you please try logging out of the app and back in again.

  that did not work.
  I recently downloaded the desktop app and this is my first time attempting to sign into my account.
  instead of signing me in after I enter my profile name and password it just says “failed to search”
