Desktop App Mac

  Hi folks, need a little insight. I am struggling to log into the desktop app for WordPress. It is on the new M1 mac. I have two factor, I have linked Google, I have reset my password. I have also deleted and reinstalled the DMG file, along with restarting the Mac. Yet every time I press the red Log In button – nothing! No change to the screen.It is almost like it is a broken link. I can log in online, I can login on my phone. Why can’t I login with the desktop app?

  Hi there,

  Just to confirm, you’re trying to log into your WordPress.com username account, cgrockswebmaster, not the admin account of a specific site, correct?

  What is the version number of the desktop app you have installed?

  Yes. That is correct.

  Ok. I have just retried, and have managed to get in via the andriod mobile app authenicating me. (An option I did not get to begin with)

  I am not sure what has changed other than turning my Mac off for a few hours.
