Desktop App Update fail

  As I lack admin privileges in OS X the auto-updates advertise their availability and offer to install but come back at the same version without any error message.

  I appreciate most users run the risk of running all users with admin rights, but think there should be an option to authorise the update with a prompt for the root user during updates
