Desperate for help! I’m being sued over a blog I don't write!

I am being falsely accused of writing mean things about people in a blog. Despite me trying for months to explain I don’t write it, I am now being sued in small claims court for libel and defamation. I don’t write, not have I ever written a blog. My accusers claim it’s me because the IP of the blog defaults to San Francisco, and I live near San Francisco. However, my research shows that pretty much all blogs point to the same IP.
I did send an email to the WordPress legal alias, but I’m at my wit’s end as to what else I can do?
Can anyone help me get this figured out?! Please?!

As @kosiew said above, we cannot help with this in this forum. If you’ve been sued, the best thing to do is to consult an attorney. Should that attorney require any information from us regarding a WordPress.com site, they can follow the process outlined here:
