Destination folder already exists
-
Elementor asked to be updated this morning. I ran the update but no it’s asking me to ‘go Pro’. I already paid for the pro version, which was installed fine. Now it’s not showing but if I try to reinstall, I get this error: Destination folder already exists.
I’m in the early stages of making my first WordPress site so finding this quite frustrating, appreciate any help!
Thank you :)

Hi slinkyphotography,
It sounds like an issue with Elementor.
I’d reach out to them about this issue.
Also, if you bought the Pro version, you should be able to submit a ticket instead of posting on this forum. I linked directions on how to do so below:

Thanks devroyce.
A quick Google suggests that this is a fairly common issue and needs to be rectified by deleting the installation folder via ftp then reinstalling.
I’m not sure how to find my wordpress ftp details, however.

If you’re hosting your site on WordPress.com, which it looks like you are, you wouldn’t have access to FTP. That’s a feature available on WordPress.org, that’s where you use the open-source WordPress software and self-host your site.
