"Destination folder already exists" on WordPress.com

    Hi,

We’re trying to fix an issue for a client.

She is getting the error “Destination folder already exists” when she tries to install our plugin on myketomorphosis.com. The plugin doesn’t show up, even though it says it already exists. So we suspected something went wrong with the first installation, and wanted to delete the folder via FTP or cPanel to try again. However, wordpress.com doesn’t seem to allow access via FTP or cPanel. The client is positive it is a wordpress.com site, and not self-hosted on wordpress.org.

What can we do in such a case? Thank you!

    Hi ultimatelysocial,

myketomorphosis.com is indeed a WordPress.com site but it is owned by a different account to the one you are contacting us from — which is not listed as a site user. If myketomorphosis can contact us through their account, we’ll be happy to look into why the plugin isn’t being installed.
