Destination folder already exists when I try to install a plugin
-
Hi, I am a COMPLETE BEGINNER with WordPress… I have been following a tutorial to set up my own website and it’s been going really well. Unfortunately when I tried to download Nextgen Gallery as a Plugin, it says that it has failed and the ‘Destination folder already exists’.
I have searched forums, but the jargon is confusing me. Can anybody explain how I can proceed in a non technical way please?
Your help is really appreciated!!

Hey there,
That looks like an issue with your self-hosted WordPress installation. The best place to seek help under this scenario would be the community support forums of WordPress.org.
Folks over there help out with self-hosted WordPress installations — this forum is specifically for hosted blogs at WordPress.com, where access to files, FTP etc. isn’t allowed. :)
