Developer holding site hostage

  I have an 80 year old client who had a developer create a WordPress.com site for her, including the domain name. The site is http://shirlsolomoncreativeworks.com

  I’m a WP.org developer who is trying to assist her.

  The developer refuses to give her the login and password to the back end of the site. The content is Intellectual Property that clearly belongs to my client, whose name is all over the site and in the domain name.

  What can we do, short of getting a court order, to get the login name and password for her content?
