Developer-only accounts and WordPress.com affiliate for agencies.
-
Hello,
I run a web design agency and I’d like to start recommending WordPress.com business hosting to my clients via refer.wordpress.com, so I can focus more on development than managing my own servers. The problem is, it is part of the Terms Of Service of being a WordPress.com affiliate not to ask for a client’s user/password. This is understandable, but how do I log in to my clients’ accounts’ to upload and set up their custom themes?
Is there a way for clients to create a second admin account for us on their wordpress.com dashboard? Is there a built-in developer dashboard that will allow me to manage all of my clients’ websites from one place?
I do not simply give out links to earn commissions. I work on designing, developing and setting up websites too, and I must have access to the hosted account throughout the whole process.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can create a WordPress.com account (or use your existing one) and have your clients invite you as an administrator. This will also consolidate all of your clients under one dashboard and you’ll be able to manage them by going to https://wordpress.com/
If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
