Development of page to look unique.

    Hi there,
We are looking to develop a particular page on the My Manchester News site – specifically the ‘student made’ page (https://studentnews.manchester.ac.uk/category/student-made/).

As this section will be a site for student-made content, we are looking to explore some ideas on how best this page could look. We’d like it to look fairly different to the rest of the pages and thought one way about doing this could be by adding ‘widgets’ to the top of page/in a sidebar to show the student bloggers who will be writing the content. Would this be possible to do as part of the theme for this page only? We would then like to showcase the blog posts underneath the widgets or on that page and then link it to actual blogs.

We are keen for this page to look different to the rest of the site – so if we are able to add these profile widgets to only one page that would be great.

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can add the Authors Widget to the sidebar, which will appear at the right or left of the content depending on how you have it set at Customize > Theme Options. You can then use Widget Visibility to make is show on only the Student Made category page. You might give that a try and see how that works for you.
