development test site

Hi there – I’m building a site for a friend’s hotel and comparing Squarespace and WordPress to see which works best for them. I need to test some of the functionality with WP – how can I do this without paying for the business plan out of the gate? Can i get 72 hours access to see what I can do? It’s been years since I’ve used WP and want to get a refresher.

Hi there,
Thank you for considering WordPress.com for your friend’s hotel website. I completely understand your need to get reacquainted with WordPress and test its functionality. While we don’t currently offer trials for our plans, we do have a solution that I think will work for you.
You can start by purchasing the monthly Business plan. This will give you full access to all the Business plan features, and you can see firsthand if it’s a good fit for your needs. What’s even better is that we have a 7-day refund policy. If you find that the Business plan isn’t what you’re looking for within that 7-day period, you can request a full refund, no questions asked.
Given you’re creating a site for a hotel, the WooCommerce plugin, along with the Accommodation Bookings extension, might be exactly what you need. They’re designed specifically for businesses like hotels offering features such as room bookings, check-in and check-out functionality, and more.
I hope this provides a flexible way for you to test WordPress.com for your project. Should you have any more questions or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
