Dictionary of terminology?

I don’t understand your terminology. For example, what does it mean to PRESS or Embed content? Is there somewhere I can find the definitions please?

To display a youtube etc. in a post or page means that you embed it ie. your type the code in that will make the youtube or whatever display in the post or page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

Reading the Press This definition, what is the difference between that and Reblog? Sounds like with Press This anyone can take huge chunks of content, text and photos, from any other site – not just WordPress – and repost it on their site. Am I understanding that wrong?

Yes one can use Press This which existed long before reblogging to copy and paste as much as they want.

This all really comes back to the fact that anyone can copy and paste whole post if they want to and we have to file DMCA takedown notices to get out stolen content removed from splogs.
