did 3.6 upgrade affect anything

  Hi, my web developer has created my page and somehow my homepage slider disappeared. Having no idea about creating a web page I upgraded to 3.6 but cant insert images into the slideshow plugin i put in. Probably really easy but Ive been left in the lurch. Im using directory press. Thanks.
