Did Dyad2 change column number?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have Dyad 2 and on my previous blog with the same theme, I could see three columns. Now I can’t tell if it’s just my computer settings. Tell me do you see three columns of blog posts?: https://ethicalspitfire.wordpress.com

If so, that is what I want on my new blog Impact Fashion, but I can only get 2 columns.

Is there a way to edit the column number without changing themes?

    Thnx

    Hi Lia,

On a large screen, the Dyad 2 blog page and archives pages display posts in two columns, in up to four segments (featured image, tite/content, featured image, title content). I believe it’s always been two columns wide, as is the case with the retired Dyad theme.

Is there a way to edit the column number without changing themes?

According to staff member staff-zinnia in this recent topic, it’s possible with quite complicated CSS customization that is beyond the scope of support this forum can provide. Her words:

As expected this really is a complicated CSS change and it’s beyond the scope of support that we can provide. Even when we change the line to display 4 posts there are numerous other changes that then need to be made, not even considering your mobile views.

Sorry, I should have realized that a larger desktop screen than that on my relic would display more columns. According to the screen resolution test I just did, Dyad 2 displays three columns, as you’d said they did, on screens of approximately 1680 pixels and greater width, or roughly 22 inches and greater width.
