did I enter the CNAME and MX changes correctly

Hi there. I had an existing domain mich-sampson.com that I have now mapped to my wordpress blog michsampson.wordpress.com. But then my mail ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) stopped working and I realised I hadn’t made the changes to CNAME and MX. I emailed my domain name provider Doteasy, and they gave me the following information:

You will need to make adjustments to the MX and CNAME Records to use our email service. See below for the changes to the MX and CNAME Records.
MX Record: dpmail20.doteasy.com
CNAME Record: Source as mail.mich-sampson.com and Destination as dpmail20.doteasy.com
——–I *think* I’ve changed the right bits on my CNAME and MX entries, but e-mail to (email visible only to moderators and staff) still doesn’t seem to be getting through. Did I do something wrong?

Hi Mich,
Are you sure the priority is set to 10 for the MX records? If it is, then it should be good to go. Sometimes it can take about 72 hours to propagate. If it’s not working, please ask your email host for the exact records you need.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the priority’s set to 10, but there still doesn’t seem to be anything getting to me.
The e-mail host Doteasy had already sent me this text:
MX Record: dpmail20.doteasy.com
CNAME Record: Source as mail.mich-sampson.com and Destination as dpmail20.doteasy.com…which looks pretty detailed. What else should I be asking them for?
Is someone from WordPress able to look at my CNAME and MX records and just double-check that I haven’t (for example) managed to delete something I need!? I’m happy to pay for some additional support on this! :-)
