Did I mess up? I want an actual website not the .wordpress one

  Hi there-

  I am sure this is a horribly basic question but what do I do to switch to a full blown website instead of a wordpress hosted one?

  I would appreciate any help!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  If you would like to use a custom domain you have a couple of options. The first would to be to pay to map/register a custom domain to your site. For information on that see this page:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

  You’ll still have a WordPress.com subdomain but your visitors will see the custom domain.

  The second option would be to use the self-hosted version of the WordPress software found at https://wordpress.org
  Note this version of the software would be hosted outside of WordPress.com and onto your own host. You can find out more about the differences between the two ways to use WordPress here:
