Did I screw up?

  I purchased the http://www.wordpress.com premium! I just found out I can’t use .com for Business!
  Does anyone know if I can use my .com premium with http://www.wordpress.org! Boy I sure hope so because I will not be happy if I wasted $100!

  WordPress.ORG does not host sites – they are the keepers of the software – they do have some recommended hosts that meet their requirements for solid hosting (there are also other hosts out there)

  Did you also get your domain name registered? If so a bit trickier – DON’T CANCEL THE DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION!!! There are Internet rules that make the name not available for awhile –

  You should be able to cancel all but the domain name registration – then when you get your hosting account set up you can set the name servers to point to your new host -so the money is not lost and your domain name does not get lost or picked up by a squatter

  Thanks, the money not being lost is awesome! I’ll relax and watch all the youtube tutorials! I din’t understand that wordpress.com and wordpress.org were not the same entity!

  Hosting

  There is a 30 day refund window on all but the domain registration and maybe mapping – but if you have the name you want to keep that so there is no loss and the rest of the package can be refunded

  I just found out I can’t use .com for Business!

  Could you explain a little more what you mean by this? Many businesses use WordPress.com for business sites. I’d be glad to clear up any questions you might have.
