Did I screw up my domain mapping?
-
-
I am trying to map a domain from directnic to my wp blog but it’s still pointing to my old site. Also my wp domain (spinestrong.wordpress.com) is pointing to my old site now instead of my blog. did I screw up?
-
http://spinestrong.com/ appears to be working properly.
It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

Ok I thought I screwed something up since it directs to my old hosted site whether I choose spinestrong.com as my primary or spinestrong.wordpress.com as my primary. At this point I cannot view my blog unless in my dashboard. Even then I can’t view my home page as it directs to that hosted site. Seems strange to me

Hm, everything seems to be working properly for me. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies to see if that resolves the problem?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesCan you also make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled on your browser?

I cleared cookies and cache on my laptop and phone and still cannot see my blog on either device. I’m getting directed to my old hosted site
-
I can no longer get into my dashboard. I get a warning that the page cannot be found. What’s going on??
-
Yes, I’m directed to your Fusion-themed site, also accessible via http://spinestrong.wordpress.com
Are you logging in via http://wordpress.com? Or are you trying to access your blog’s Dashboard via your old custom login page, spinestrong.com/wp-login.php?
-
I don’t understand. I can’t view that site. I get the old site on my laptop and phone even after clearing cookies and cache. i also had a friend type in spinestrong.com and they get the old site too. How can you see the fusion site?
-
That’s really strange. I did just update your domain mapping for you. Can you try loading that site once more?
