    Did not pay renewal for domain name. Was Due April can I still purchase it and how do I go about that. Thanks

    Hi there,

    Your domain is currently in what’s called the redemption period. This is the final phase after expiration where our registrar is preparing to delete the domain and release it so anyone can register it again.

    You can try waiting a few weeks and then try to register it again as a new domain when it becomes available. But you run the risk of losing it as someone else can also register it when it becomes available.

    The other option is that I email the registrar and ask them to restore the domain to our account. But at this point they charge a $80 fee to do this, in addition to the $18 to renew the domain. Let me know if you want to try this option, and I’ll send you a payment link via email.
