did the Stats take a dive ?

Did the stats crash again, or is it just my hits that took a dive? Seems as the Hits are not lining up with the “View All” stuff, not that I have ever really had an abundance of hits or anything…lol

Yes, of course they did it’s Friday and stats go down on weekends on most blogs. Spam also goes up. Not to worry .. forget about the number and blog on. What’s more valuable than fretting about stats declines on weekends is visiting other blogs and commenting, commenting, commenting and then visiting more and commenting.

Comment, comment, comment. If you had left a comment on someone else’s blog every time time you looked at your own stats you would be getting more traffic now. I’m not kidding. Just ask raincoaster — she’ll tell you what I say is 100% correct. :)

I leave a lot more than I receive, but, I’m not so worried about Comments..it was just that the Hit’s didn’t line up with the Little Squiggly line is all…LOL

You are absolutely right… on the Web Sites ..the Blogs, the Forums, and even the Yard-Sale Sites.. the stats take a DIVE on the Weekends..and that TELLS me.. that.. those folks who man, or Woman those Stat Departmental positions… are REALLY doing a wonderful job.. I really appreciate them…and you folks who are here…when we need you…

Stats work so great during the week… Hey, nobody can work ALL the time.. but, it’s obvious ..as the Statistics show…when they are on the Job.. they are ON THE JOB!!!

TT – you’re right, of course, stats do go down at weekends, but it’s nearly 17.00 here in the UK, and I haven’t even got into three figures yet. That’s not low, it’s catastrophic.
Pretty sure there’s something amiss.

OK, I know stat counters can show different figures to WP (and sometimes each other), but both Sitemeter and GoStats are 40% up on WP – that’s the sort of figure I’d expect to see on a Saturday evening, with 7 hours to go.

I just happen to be the kind of blogger whose doesn’t really fixate on the numbers or fluctuations in the stats. :)

Nothing to do with fixation, TT, and- frankly – I find the term offensive – and everything to do with whether or not people are reading my blog. Which every blogger cares about.

I think we know each other well enough for you to know I did not intend to offend you or anyone else. :( We also both know that Volunteers cannot assist with this issue which has been posted to the “support” forum, and only Staff can. That’s why I included the link for contacting Staff above.

For whatever it’s worth Canada is having a long weekend, so we’re all pretty much outside enjoying the festivals and leaving the feed reading until Tuesday.
Ron, someone referring to themselves as not being “fixated” on their stats is not an insult, even if it’s made immediately after another person admits to regularly checking their stats on three different stats counting formats, and especially not when there’s a smiley face attached.
