did they really have to break the tags?
-
So for a year and a half, when ive needed to post Python code to WordPress, thats been no problem.
Just put the code it in pre tags, and its good to go– pre-formatted, preserves indentation and leading spaces, and doesnt muck up the code you put in it. Simple!
Now everything is mangling the code I add. After getting depressed and smiling because the closest workaround I can think of is to upload a pdf :) I tried using some “code” tag which might actually be worse, because it doesnt preserve indentation and my article is still mangled– along with the one underneath it.
Why do you break basic features all the time?
Why do you constantly vandalise everything? And what should people do if they want to post Python code on their blog now? It has worked fine for a year and a half. Perhaps enable uploading of plaintext files? No, thats not going to happen.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

this was called did they really have to break the p-r-e tags, but of course, everything is so helpful and reformats everything, even the title is mangled.
does anyone sanitise input anymore? can i put javascript in the title too? (i wont try, the thought is too depressing.)

im closing this as a vote of no confidence.
it is obviously you guys against us users. in the future if i need support i (probably) wont ask.
i used to think this was a terrific platform, except for the overabundance of ajaxy nonsense.
