Didn’t receive recovery email
-
I deleted a plugin file with ftp in /wp-content/plugins
now my sites gives out a critical error.
I didn’t receive a recovery mode email and this method:
https://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode
doesn’t work (yes I did change it to my domain)Also tried to deactivate all plugins bei renaming the plugins folder, but still I just get my critical error message.
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your @burakguenal WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Hello there,
It looks like the site is hosted with GoDaddy, so you would need to reach out to https://uk.godaddy.com/help to see if they can restore that deleted directory.
Going forward, you may wish to use a back up solution such as Jetpack VaultPress Backup https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/
Out of curiosity, what were you looking to achieve that led to the deletion of the plugin directory?
Many thanks.

Hello, well my site is hosted with Host Europe. I deleted some plugins to determine which plugin uses YouTube Cookies. I thought maybe I would find a plugin which is not listed under “installed plugins” in the Webview, because I’ve read an articel a while ago which said, that some plugin files still exist in the db and ftp after the removal over the CMS.

I have backup files in .zip from UpdraftPlus but just for wp-content – I replaced every file from wp-content with my backup files from the date where the site was still working – no success – still critical err.

Ok in which case you would need to reach out to Host Europe to see if they can restore that site.
I’d also recommend restoring the database with the directories to see if this helps also.
