Difference between free and paid domain.

  I’m having lot’s of issues using free domain, but I’m afraid it will be same if I purchase my own domain, like using javascrip, install plugins, editing tools. I would like to know all wordpress limitations before I sign up for my own domain.

  Purchasing a custom domain through WordPress means that you’re still hosted on WordPress.com and subject to our code restrictions:

  If you want the ability to add plugins and JavaScript to your site, you may want to look into a self-hosted installation of WordPress. You can learn more about the difference here:

  Thank you. Does that mean that I can’t add any code from facebook or other favorite sites?

  What about the Visual and HTML tools, why it’s not appearing on my editor?

  You can only use the HTML tags listed here:

  However, we do offer a number of widgets that might accomplish what you’re looking for:

  You should be able to find the HTML and Visual editors in your post or page editor. For example:

  Hi Chris,

  Thanks a lot for the help, I don’t have on my editor any tools to format content or add html tags, just the Permalink link at the top and the upload/insert icons, on both modes. Is that correct?

  For the widgets, I wanted to add Facebook Comments and Facebook Like on every post. Can I do that?

  Can you make sure that you don’t have the Visual Editor disabled in your Users -> Personal Settings page?

  When using the Visual Editor, your Add New page should look like the screenshots in this document:

  Hi evarlese,

  1- Disable the visual editor when writing option on my setting is unchecked
  2- My editor doesn’t show any tools that appear on this page

  Why?

  Also, I want to know how to get Facebook Comments and Facebook Like on every post.

  If you’re not seeing the visual editor, please try to clear your browser cache.

  Facebook comments aren’t available on WordPress.com.
  For Facebook likes, check out the share buttons options at Settings->Sharing in your dashboard.

  I did clear the cache, but still not available. I was hoping to send a snap shot, but there’s no option to attachment. Does that mean I have to live with it as is?

  Would you please also try the suggestions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/missing-visual-editor/ ?

  If that doesn’t work, you can “send” us a screenshot by uploading it via Media -> Add new in your blog’s Dashboard, then just let us know the title of the image.
