Difference between team and followers on blog

    I am fairly new to blogging. I have a wordpress site and have email subscribers. I got an email notification that I had a “new user registration” on my site. Apparently there is a whole list of “users” uner the heading “team”. There are also “followers” and “email followers”. I knew that people had subscribed by email. So my question is….these people listed under “team”…who are they?
