Difference between views and visitors

Difference between views and visitors
I understand the main difference between views and visitors (for example, if 1 person looks at 8 pages of my blog, then I have 1 visitor, but 8 views).
However, my stats are saying I have 1 visitor, and 8 views, and the views are coming from 6 different countries – how is this possible?
Surely it can’t be one visitor if the views are coming from US, UK, Australia, Solomon Islands, Philippines etc?
thanks

Hi Steph,
Can you show me where the stats are showing you country by day? From my understanding you can see the total views by country for 7 days, 30 days, etc., but I can’t find them per day.
If you are looking at the Today/Yesterday numbers for the country, it may not add up to your total visitors/views because these stats are not updated in real time. It can take up to a day or two to fully update, so I wouldn’t look too closely into the exact numbers.
You can find more information about stats here:
Cheers!

Hi,
It’s on my stats homepage – I’ve taken a screenshot but can’t seem to add it here.
On the homepage it says “Views by Country” and then under that “today” – it just shows views, but this morning I had only 1 visitor showing and 6 countries/8 views showing on the map.
But I guess it hadn’t updated yet.
thanks for the help!

Yes, the stats from today/yesterday have not updated so I wouldn’t look too closely into that as I mentioned above.
You’re welcome and Happy Blogging!
