difference between wordpress followers and email followers

    I can’t figure out what the difference is between these two lists. I want everyone to receive the blog by email, do both groups, or how do I change this?

    The followers who signed up to follow by e-mail automatically receive your posts by e-mail. Those that follow with their WordPress.com accounts automatically follow by having your posts show up in their reader. The default setting is that WordPress.com subscribers would also receive posts by e-mail, but subscribers are able to decide for themselves when/if they get e-mail updates. The subscriber options are outlined here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/.
